Dental Insurance and Payments

Preparing for Your Future Visits

Understanding Your Dental Insurance

At Deer Lake Dental, we offer direct billing as a convenience to help reduce the amount patients may need to pay out of pocket at the time of treatment. Coverage varies between insurance providers and individual plans, so patients are responsible for understanding the details of their own benefits.

Insurance companies may have privacy policies that limit the information they can share directly with our clinic. We encourage patients to contact their insurance provider to confirm details such as coverage percentages, annual maximums, deductibles, co-payments, and other plan-specific conditions.

Planning Ahead for Your Dental Treatment

If you would like to know whether a planned dental treatment may be covered, our team can submit a predetermination to your insurance provider on your behalf. The insurance company will review the proposed treatment and determine how it may be covered under your individual plan.

Once a decision has been made, the insurance company may send the coverage information directly to you. Patients are responsible for reviewing that information and sharing the relevant details with Deer Lake Dental before treatment.

Any portion not covered by your insurance remains the patient's responsibility. If you have questions about direct billing, predeterminations, or preparing for an upcoming appointment, call us at (709) 635-4565.
